Intel has a number of diversity groups in their diversity program (other companies call these employee groups, affinity groups, clubs, etc.). Besides this Bible-based Christian group, there are other religious groups, such as those for the Jewish, Muslim, and Baha'i faith. There are also groups based on ethnicity, as well as sexual orientation and gender (a women's group). Click here to visit our monthly free breakfast meetings in Oregon (at Monteaux's Public House, a restaurant). Here you can freely see some videos of previous speakers, such as In-Focus Systems CEO John Harker talking about the effects of offshore outsourcing jobs. Should a "real" and "serious" Christian quit his engineering job and go into full-time ministry? Only if they are "called." Here and here are two interesting perspectives. Here's an interesting take from a Christian at Lucent Technologies. We have been organized and approved by Intel since 1997. Some of our members have also helped establish Hi-tech Christian Leadership. IBCN Oregon is helping with a dental van ministry this summer (2008). For more info, click here.
